Obscured by classmates!

                                                                                                                                              13 Nov 2003
Short of ‘PATIENCE’, I lost my slumber
My ‘PULSE’ was racing, it wasn’t cool as cucumber
But when 'TIME' passed & Conductor yelled "right"
I knew we are ON THE RUN, things getting really bright!!

Ahoy! We were there after a long crawl,
But worth the journey for the PARADISE CITY,
More so for the Angels resort, I pity
Jumpin' into the pool, making it LAKE OF FIRE
Though I was forced into, as a dire!

I called Cibbu, his mind was yonder
I told the plan expecting him to ponder!
“Let’s do it “, he said much to my wonder
We strolled to the near by liquor mart, bought vodka ....ha! ha!
Out we dashed into the starry night, an ‘INTERSTELLAR OVERDRIVE’
Armed and ready to take on the best
For we had 'HIGH HOPES' that we would not rest
We cursed the sleepin' people, most of them dumb
But we were on top, feeling ‘COMFORTABLY NUMB’
That didn't stop me, saw PC walk-in at 5ive to twelve
Asked her for a date, maybe not too late!!
Next morning seeing the sun rising around,
I felt 'COMING BACK TO LIFE' on better ground.
We went by the sea shore; Bhatta had high intensions to score!!
Feasting our eyes on the view, I thought, it can’t go on any more!!
It was good for a while, until I found no one
I thought I had enough and done!!
So I left the beach without the peach

It was noon, & time to rest,
But I’ll give you something hard to digest,
It is more an accord, our Kotte writing RECORD!!

That night was the night of NOVEMBER RAIN
Some enjoyed the candle lit night & some RAVE
Though people tried to drain my brain
I had no guts to go & for that, I still crave!
Sorry to say, the stud had an accident
I was curious, but nothing serious
He escaped with stitches & the BIKE, dent!
Next day, we were high on taxi driver Kishore
'coz we were again ready to hit the Anjuna shore!
Saw the Vagator fort, humming dil cahata hai……
Par kya kare, wapas bhi to aana hai!

Again started the 22hr long drive
Reached Karwar thinking of Goa's pride!
I found a face; as a –‘DARK SIDE OF THE MOON’
While on the other side, stood a guy -‘CORPORAL CLEGG’, a real toon
He shouted 'HEY YOU!' as the driver increased the trottle
Ripping through the baggage, expecting bottle.
In as much ‘LOST FOR WORDS’ were we,
Oh how I ‘WISH YOU WERE HERE’ to see
This poem is dedicated to Rahul Thomas Mathew and all my other classmates, who could not make it to GOA due to some reason or the other.
Hope you enjoyed the trip I took you to! ;-)
