Becloud driveway!

been a dull week and lot of boredom to bury
In came a fwd, and we decided to go to Skandagiri,

5am and off we are on NH7 in no time, becloud driveway,
unexpected mist, we are blind now hoping to reach bay.
Raucous on full throttle, Chikballapur it is, hurting butt
another 5km on the tour, we are at Paapagni Matt!

A beautiful mountain lay ahead in our anticipation,
took the harsh route, ram in perspiration.
Got lost on the stairway, it was certain,
not before we saw the beautiful mist clad mountain.
lost for a while, found the way back, an accident,
injured leg and back, but left without a dent!
hit the highway again, took grapes for red wine
Mom went RED, ended up eating them at dine

I simply treasured the early morning ride
much much beautiful than a bonnie bride!

Skandagiri

Skandagiri is a small hillock near Nandi Hills. It is nearly 60Km from Bangalore on the NH-7. You first need to reach Chickballapur town. From the main road you need to take the right turn which goes towards the panchayat office, you will have to travel 5km on that road to reach Paapagni Matt. This is the base for the Skandagiri trek. The place is less exploited and the trek's scenic beauty is amazing. You can trek to the top in about 90 minutes. There is an old temple on top.It's ideal to visit this place on a cloudy day and reach Skandagiri as early as 5-6am.
